I have worked in the web industry as an Art Director and Senior Designer for over 10 years and created websites for clients in a wide variety of industries, from entertainment to apparel to software to travel. My experience ranges from small–scale, compact sites and online marketing campaigns, to large–scale e–commerce and CMS-driven projects. Selected clients include Aeroplan, Electronic Arts, DirecTV, Intrawest, Nike and Nintendo. Most recently I have completed work for Starbucks, designing an online experience for users to build a customized Starbucks Card.

I have strong conceptual and design skills with a specialty in Information Design. I’m proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and use a sketchbook religiously. I have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills (I’ve been know to start–up a random conversation or two, breaking the deadly boardroom silence). I’m able to think about the big picture and the details, simultaneously. I can work at the front end or back end of the process: participating in whiteboarding sessions, Sharpie moments; moodboard creation; and of course, mockup creation. I am especially passionate about Typography, and grid systems in page layout. Last but not least, I love what I do which is solve problems.

When I’m not sitting in front of my computer screen I can usually be found looking through the lens of my camera. I’m an avid hobbyist photographer with an insatiable appetite for learning all things photography in the hopes of one day putting my photography to use for professional pursuits.

I’m also a proud father, a husband (with an allergy to housework), a coffee enthusiast, a home renovator, a part–time runner, a full–time dreamer, a wanna–be inventor, and just like the automobile manufacturer Lexus, I too am in “The Passionate Pursuit of Perfection” (although I read once that “perfection is the enemy of progress”).
